Re: Admiral's Units & stuff
Thanks) Well they are just "frankensteined" from stock units, but I hope it worth the effort) I tried to keep the style and the low poly setup to fit into the game.
Next will be some soviet guns, gap fillings here and there. Maybe you are also doing them - if not , yet - they will be available anyways.

Soviet Union 152mm m1937 ML-20 17200 N/A 6 Best USSR arty piece
Soviet Union 152mm m1943 D-1 12400 N/A 5 on M-30 chassis.

Those marked with N/A are new, the rest is present. The one which has it's range in red can be a candidate for "bonus unit" because it was built in very limited numbers (as compared to other soviet stuff)

Another gap filler, for early PAK
and quick mods of existing stuff:
Resized 50mm PAK (PAK97 looked too small, and since their sharing the same chassis...)
AA only 88mm FLAK37 (export version)

Re: Admiral's Units & stuff
Although I've always suspected something like this with all Jap. infantry having the "tunneling" trait, up until right now I've NEVER seen or used the "tunnel" mechanic in the official or custom campaigns and scens... am I the only one?Admiral_Horthy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 24, 2018 10:47 pm A nasty surprise.. another implementation of the tunnel type

Cool models, BTW. When are you posting some for download?

Re: Admiral's Units & stuff
Well good question, both of them
I can't recall if I ever used tunneling, but also I can't remember if there were any in the japanese campaign... I don't even know if the AI can use them, I have to make experiments. In Budapest - and I think in Stalingrad as well - sewer systems had quite and impact on fighting. Scenario builders can however make use of this "teleport gate" function for many tricky events that's for sure)
There will be another variant for the Vietnam tunnels but no idea yet how should it look like. Certainly something camouflaged. I might also figure out how to make new terrain tiles IF it is possible at all...
When I upload... ummm... I need to have at least one nation complete... and I have no unit pictures at all. I made 3D... I made data... damage tex. But unit pix are lagging behind. My own quality control is very strict.
EDIT; Just looked around, actually many of the infantry units have tunneling traits, even soviet. So I guess I will make a more general manhole (Not saying "Sewage Systems Company Budapest" on the cover) for all faction use.

Re: Admiral's Units & stuff
Hey, i was following this thread for a while and i saw alot of amazing textures come by, i myself was thinking about making campaigns for minor axis nations like hungary.
I already started on some early scenarios but quit after realizing there were no actual early war units at all for them.
I am however considering continuing it after i saw the develepmont of a whole bunch of czechoslovak, hungarian and soviet units.
So i am eagerly awaiting this mods release and its development.
BTW, it's great to see more and more actual mods start to progress after a long while of no unit mods!

Re: Admiral's Units & stuff
Good to hear that! )))
And Im glad if someone wants to wield the sword I am making, since I am poor with scenarios... I am more a sword-smith than the warrior
Romania also getting expanded, as much as they can be. Yugoslavia as well, getting maybe a few armor and more czech/french guns. Right now I need to expand the soviet towed arty and some hungarian armor - all new models not just modded stock.

Re: Admiral's Units & stuff
I think so, too. A cool mechanic. But seems the devs have somewhat abandoned it like the "Ohka" switch or the sub transportation...Admiral_Horthy wrote: ↑Sat Aug 25, 2018 6:38 am I can't recall if I ever used tunneling, but also I can't remember if there were any in the japanese campaign... I hope some of the custom scen designers notice this and use it somehow.
Well, take your time. And if you need some testing done, I'm willing.Admiral_Horthy wrote: ↑Sat Aug 25, 2018 6:38 am When I upload... ummm... I will tell if i need anything specific but for now i will just wait eagerly and watch the new units come by.

Yes, it's a transport. Heavy Inf can still fire mortars while sitting in Halftrack

Re: Admiral's Units & stuff
Small Pak Pack
I started to remake the 45mm with longer barrel - it led to the redux of 37mm PAK and a new infantry gun for the soviets.
Introducing. remade PAK36, M1937 45mm, new ZIS-1 (45mm M1942), new 7.62mm Infantry gun M1943
