I get a connection error while playing multiplayer Battlefield Academy 2 and Field of Glory 2. I download the current turn with no problems. I get an error when ending the turn (Failed to send the game to the server).
I thought this was a McAfee firewall issue, but turning off the firewall did not help.
Has anyone see and resolved this issue?

Re: Connection Error
Can you please email support@slitherine.co.uk with a link to your post, your IP, and the time(s) of your errors. This will help the server team track down the problem. Sorry for the hassles.
Is this issue still extant?
Cheers

Re: Connection Error
turning McAfee doesn't work as once off your windows firewall is also disabled, best advice is to add the game to the list
Re: Connection Error
Thank you for the replies.
I now do not think McAfee is the problem. I turned off the Firewall and restarted I still have the problem.
I will send the issue to Support.

Re: Connection Error
thinking it isn't and knowing it isn't are 2 totally different things, easier way is checking the firewall logs and then uploading them here in zip format, so they can be checked, as if it's blocked, it will be in there, on or off.
if you pc is 7, 8 or win 10, matters little, but if you install a given game as administrator is will setup the required permissions on install, if the game can update online, it then has the permissions it needs to go online.
the the pc updates, this 9 out of 10 times doesn't change, if like windows 10 is does a clean install or upgrades the version already on the pc, it can alter the file permissions regarding a external firewall, the built in windows one doesn't alter.
once you add in a external firewall and disable the built in one, any new program upgrade has the chance of altering what files are save in the firewall, minor updates don't but major ones can.
by all means go to staff support and they will help you out, but ask for the same things as here,
first a system report, then user name on site, games in question, what version your running etc, patch level status etc etc
How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:
1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.
once the report has been made, just attach it to your post with first adding the file to a zip, which is then permitted to attach to the forum.
to find out what o/s and drivers hardware etc you have loaded,
then as it's an external firewall, a log file from it, as it helps to double check it's not been blocked before asking you to uninstall and reinstall and add the updates again to any game that doesn't work making sure to do it correctly, eg install as admin run as admin from a full administrator account, through a single firewall, and not a 2nd one in the router.
hope they get is sorted for you and sorry we couldn't help to solve it here on the forums,...
