The battle was fought in the Grand Canyon and the troops struggled to find room in the narrow maze like passages of clear tiles. Nite fell just as I positioned a legion and a cataphract around his last bowmen unit!! Argh

There are a few things that I am going to introduce/change for Season 3. They are . . .

1) players will only be allowed to enter a maximum of 4 sections in future seasons. I think potentially having to play 45 matches in 5 sections in 10 weeks is too much so I am going to reduce that to a maximum of 36 matches from now on.

2) Enemies of Rome will be replaced by another of the core sections we had in FOG1DL, namely Early Middle Ages. You can find the armies available for this section if you scroll back a bit in "The Rally Point". The final tables for "Enemies of Rome" will be used to help set up the new divisions in Early Middle Ages.

3) The Themed Event will stay the same size but the scheduling of the section will change. All the group matches will be released simultaneously and players will have a month to complete their three matches. The knock-out stage will remain unchanged with 14 days be allowed for each round (paired games).

There has also been a debate and poll in "The Rally Point" about the increased number of draws that we saw in Season 2 of the FOG2DL. As part of that change, players will, in future, be able to re-start matches by agreement within the first two moves by either player. The maximum number of agreed re-starts permissible will be two.
