A demo of Legion Gold can be downloaded from http://www.slitherine.com/Legion/demo.htm

This is a fully featured version of the game limited to 3 hours of play. Once the time limit has expired you must register your copy to continue playing for a one off fee of only $19.99.

Does this download include the last patch in it or do we need to download and install the patch after installing?

Both include the latest patch & CoW includes the extra Map pack.

hey iv installed legion but whats the difference from it and legion gold ?

I think the only difference (if you have the European version) is the Germania Campaign.

I managed to get the CD version of Legion Gold a couple of years ago. Looking on the Slitherine Web page today I noticed mention of patches and a Hispania map that I don't recall appearing on the CD. I presume Ian that for these I will need to download the appropriate patches, the CD is the American release of Gold that I bought about 3 months after it came out? (Basically I just want to try a Spanish campaign).

Legion Gold includes all the maps so you should have Hispania, Germania & Elysium

If you only have Legion then you'll need to download the map pack from our website. Make sure you grab the patch that fits your version.

Hey, can't seem to find the Legion Gold demo anywhere on the site. Is it still available? I was holding out for Legion II, but now that it seems to be a long time coming, I figure I might as well try L:G and see if I like it.

I dont think we ever had a demo of the Gold version, but you should be able to download the original demo from all sorts of places. We don't have it hosted on the site.
