Clicking on settings in game causes crash [RESOLVED]
At any point in game if I try to open the setting menu the game will crash, will add attachments and more info when I'm done going through logs, until then any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you
*Edit*
So far I have taken the following steps to try and remedy the issue.
1. Uninstall\Reinstall
2. Uninstall then reinstall on a different drive
3. Updated Display Drivers
4. removed all display drivers then updated
5. Ran the game using the "Compatibility - Compatibility Branch" beta test option. (This actually fixes the issue, but then I'm unable to play the game in its current state with multiplayer.)
I have attached a Zip file with logs, screenshots, and my system's information.
Thank you
*Resolution*
1. Deleted Gladius.xml located in Documents\Proxy Studios\Gladius\Configuration
2. Set resolution to 1920x1080
3. Reboot (After Resolution Change and reboot the settings menu would open)
4. Changed game resolution to 1920x1080
4. Exited game
5. Changed Monitor Resolution back to 2560x1080
6. Opened Game and changed resolution back to 2560x1080.
After that I closed and reopened the game to ensure the issue was resolved.
*Resolution*
Thank you

Re: Clicking on settings in game causes crash
welcome to the forum ToughBadass, sorry about your issues, could you please upload a report please thanks
viewtopic.php?f=523&t=86743
as much details as possible will help, build number, version steam, site or gog etc and a report does help us to narrow it down a bit and not just give generic replies and answers, thanks for your patience,...
How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:
1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.
once the report has been made, just attach it to your post with first adding the file to a zip, which is then permitted to attach to the forum

Re: Clicking on settings in game causes crash
Try starting the game in windowed mode and check if the issue persists.
In order to start the game in windowed mode, find a file named "Gladius.xml" in your Windows documents folder (....\Documents\Proxy Studios\Gladius\Configuration)
Open with a txt editor like Windows Notepad and find the following line:
<entry name="Video/DisplayMode" value="0"/>
Change it to:
<entry name="Video/DisplayMode" value="1"/>
Save the file on exit and run the game.

Then please delete that file ("Gladius.xml") adn change your desktop resolution 1920x1080.
Reboot Windows and run the game. Do you experience the same error?

Eww, gross, 1080p???!!
j/k
That works, is there anything I can do about this without having to change my resolution every time I want to run this game?
