Actually Sturmpanzer IV is Brummbär. The vehicle GUNDOBALDO08 is referring to is Sturmtiger (38 cm RW 61 auf Sturmmörser Tiger, Tiger-Mörser).

Actually, I'm really confused as well. If you look at the stats of the Brummbar you can see it's really comparable to Tiger in defence.

Good catch! Brummbär is op in OoB and that would explain it: apparently also the devs have mixed up Brummbär and Sturmtiger. Unit Navigator - always useful.

Sorry, but that's a topic I can't just follow right... But I'm curious about the technicality: Are the stats or just the name that's wrong with that unit in OoB?

In PanzerCorps, the Brummbär has the same values of defense (Ground Def. = 16) as the Panzer IVH.
In OoB, Pz IVH :
- defense against vehicles = 15
- defense against infantry = 18
I think that these values would be better adapted for the Brummbär.

Terminator nailed it. In addition the faulty way to put Brummbär (and other assault guns) into the tank class makes it even more op. This is handled much better in PzC and all other similar games. Only in OoB it is incorrectly a tank.

Maybe Devs put assault guns in tank rooster because in antitank they put only vehicles with antitank capacity. It could be an idea ti create an apposite assault gun rooster...

Another problem with the Brummbär is that the unit traits show that the Brummbär can switch with Anti-Tank Mode and in reality the Brummbär can switch with Tank Mode :

Because Anti-tank-Artillery mode Switch was used without making it a separate trait command. Same when I abused weapon switch (mortar for infantry) for cavalry high-risk charge, and is displayed as mortar barrage.

I think this tank switching makes no sense. Back in the early Pacific "era" all the jap arty had AT-mode. I think they still have... ? Well most is not all german (and soviet) artillery used cumulative (HEAT) rounds for direct fire self defense.
