movement of general
yest at club,
my oponent moved his general from the Bg he was fighting with arguing that movementrestrictions to générals only apply in manoeuvre phase so in the JAP he could move it even if it was engaged in melee. I checked the rule and couldn't argue but it looked weird to me
who's right?

If i understand you correctly you say his general was fighting in melee. If this is the case page 50 top left side of page statesdomblas wrote:yest at club,

....Once declared as fighting in the front rank the commander cannot leave the front rank of that battle group until it is no longer in close combat and no longer in contact with enemy routers'.........

Anyway, it isn't in the Manoeuvre Phase chapter it is in the General Movement Rules chapter.
