Adding trucks

Is there a way to add trucks to infantry or artillery after the grunts and arty are deployed ?

Upgrade? You can just keep the same unit/type and activate a TP additionally then.

Keep in mind the "hidden cost" of one additional command point required for each truck. That mounts up when you are trying to mobilize an entire army.

I thought there might be another way because I had an empty truck show up in Sandstorm. Don't know where it came from. I just suddenly noticed it. It can be moved around like normal, it just is empty.

Don't know what is called, but it's the one where you're trying to control the coastal road to Bir el Sarahna

That be Buq Buq but I don't see any German trucks on the map initially. I do see these empty British trucks but all they do is turn around and head east, simulating a "Retreat Column" for some reason.

So here is one possibility. In Operation Crusader (the second scenario), the player receives this truck as a handy safety valve mechanism; I am guessing the purpose is to save your core units by agreeing to defeat:

I was thinking that this was your empty truck that would be carried forward in your core and show up in Buq Buq but the truck is not generated as a core unit.

So I am at a loss unless . . . you are actually playing Operation Crusader and not Buq Buq. That would explain your empty German truck. Do you see these objectives? They are from Operation Crusader:

I was editing my post when you replied. No, I don't think so. The truck would have to be a core unit for it to carry over from Operation Crusader forward to Buq Buq. Are you actually playing Crusader, perhaps?

Well, I thought it was in my current scenario, but from what you've said, I'm doubting myself. It probably was Crusader. Sorry for the trouble, but at least I know how to add trucks to a grunt unit now.
