Download problem.... [RESOLVED]

Having recently had a catastrophic hdd failure I have decided to buy Belisarius and just install that on my new drive, all good so far...

However, having purchased it, I've selected install and the downloaded software tells me that I dont have FoG ii installed (I knew that, obviously) then it stalls and does nothing.

I thought that the Download included everything needed to install / play the game from scratch?

Have i misunderstood?

Age of Belisarius is an expansion for FoG2, so you need to have the base game as well.

EDIT: If you use Steam, you can buy it discounted in the Steam sale right now.

I already had FoG2 on my now dead hard drive.... that is history now...... I'm a bit stumped for now

I'll try some other daftness to see if i can get up and running again, I may have my original downloads on a discarded older hard drive somewhere (I hope).

Ah, sorry, misunderstood. But if you bought a digital copy of FoG2, you should be able to re-download from the retailer (that's certainly the case with Steam, not sure with Slitherine's own store but I'd be surprised if you couldn't).

You should be able to re-download it from the members area on the Slitherine site.

I am not sure of the technical details, so if you have any difficulties please email support@slitherine.co.uk and they can help you.

Who would have thought that I'd backed up my game files to an old usb stick 'just in case'

It must have been a vodka night lol
