oscarius's Galatians sweep MikeMUC's Ach. Persians (480 to 461) from the field 17 to 47% in a record-breaking nine turns. Lacking terrain to fortify themselves on the battle quickly turned sour for the Persians as the Celtic line steadily advanced through two turns of bowfire more or less unscathed to kick some serious ass going to show you don't bring a bow and pavise to a sword fight. Even the Galatian cavalry and chariots quickly overpowered their Persian horse and camel counterparts.

Assuming that pantherboy will be dropped into Division A next season, my masterplan to escape by being relegated to Division B seems to be on track. Though whether trading utter humiliation this season for (hopefully) avoiding utter humiliation next season is worthwhile, I am not so sure.

The terrain was such that Thracians had enough rough ground and forest to put his entire army in and neither side was willing or able to force battle on reasonable terms.

Both sides had chances to blow open the game and secure victory multiple times throughout the match but the dice gods decided that almost everyone rallies and almost no one breaks unless it is an auto-break.
