Unit Models

Post by zzz32115 »

Dear friends in the development team of ‘Order of Battle:WW2’, I am a player of this game on the platform of steam and have already played for 100 hours. As a fanatic player of games about WW2, I have played real-time strategic games such as RUSE, Company of Heroes series, even Sudden Strike series and Blitzkrieg series, let alone FPS Games like Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, Red Orchestra, etc. For SLG Games I haven’t played much but I have to admit that ‘Order of Battle:WW2’ is a great work and balances gameplay, reality and graphics well.
However, I think there are some details remaining to be changed and it will make this game better. Though the unit models of heavy weapons like tanks, aircrafts and artillery are accurately designed and in accordance with what it was in history, the models of small arms of infantry units still have some weird display. For example in the screenshots below:(red circled)(See Pic 1 and Pic 2)
Both the images of the German soldier in a heavy infantry unit appear to be weird that they are not holding a MP40 submachinegun but a seemingly Japanese-made type 100 submachinegun. I know that it might also be a MP18 submachinegun but I think a MP40 like soldiers in Fallschirmjäger unit will be better. What’s more, nearly all main weapons in a heavy infantry unit seem to be the same heavy machinegun which I don’t know its model. Maybe German heavy infantry units with MG42 or MG34, Russians with Maxim 1910 or DP28,British with Vickers or Bren guns, Japanese with type 92 or type 11 will be better.
Same question:(red circled)(See Pic 3 and Pic 4)
It seems that a sten gun will be better(Pic 5)
Same problems also can be found among Russian units, the engineer unit and cavalry unit of Soviet Union are even seemingly straightly copied from Japanese and Chinese units.
I know that in a SLG game details are not usually very important and players seldom pay attention to this, and a patch of this will probably be costly and gain no sound repay, which is not wise enough to choose for company management and profit. But I think a DLC of this with many other features can also be awsome.
Looking forward to those changes in the future update patch or a single DLC.
