When you want to loan a unit to another country...

Ahem, if it has been answered, please point me...

If you want to loan a unit to another country for a scenario, say for example, you want to give the Italians a loaner Panzer II or III in a scenario, or give the Free French a loaner unit from the Brits... is there a simple way that would not involve creating another 'side' in the scenario or modding? My mind think to the scenario in the Eastern Front where the German's are loaned a couple Su-122s...

Select a unit from one faction >>> change flag of a faction to a different one >>> place unit on map. Voila!

Additional to uran's post: you can also spawn units by event, and assign another flag to them under trigger effects.

For this to work you need to activate the nation/flag you want to use in the alliance tab of the scenario settings (where you set playable or AI nations, their CP/RP etc).
