Late Antiquity: arrange your matches here

Post by stockwellpete »

Late Antiquity

Instructions

Players are free to arrange their matches in any order they wish. Either player may set up the challenge in this section. Remember to PM your opponent as well as placing the challenge and password in this thread.

For matches in this section players will select "Open Battle" and will field a "Medium" army and choose a "Medium" battlefield unless otherwise directed. Players are free to customise their army before each battle so "Default" is the correct Force Selection option. Terrain will always be "Pot Luck" unless otherwise specified. There are no exceptions to this standard set-up for a match.

If a match is set-up incorrectly for any reason then it must be re-started as soon as possible.

The final % scores for each player are taken from the in-battle display in the top left-hand corner of the screen and not the Final Losses screen that appears after the battle has ended where losses are adjusted for wounded and deserted troops.

Reporting the result of a match is the responsibility of the winning player. However, if you are the loser in a match and notice that the result has not been posted within 24 hours please post the result yourself. This helps to keep the league tables up to date.

Please be sure to familiarise yourself with both the Rules of Competition and the Players' Guide.

The Rules are here . . . viewtopic.php?f=501&t=80755
The Guide is here . . . viewtopic.php?f=501&t=81008

I am still looking for reserves, particularly for players who may be quite new to the game and who could provide cover for the C/D/E divisions. If you know anyone who is reliable please ask them to consider signing up.

Hello, I will certainly enter you in to the tournament but the Romans have already been taken by youngr. We only have one army from each nation in a division (sorry, I should have made that a bit clearer). Is there another army that you would like to play with?

To make it easier I have removed the armies already taken from the army list. Spanish (Sertorius) have some Roman characteristics. Palmyrans might be an interesting pick for you.

Unfortunately I have to go away for four days just as the league starts. I will be back and available on Tuesday the 5th for anyone who wants to post challenges for me. Apologies to anyone who wanted to give me a quick kicking  but work calls.

Seems that we can only post challenges with large armies with passwords now? Any idea why we can't just post an open challenge with a large army and take pot luck on who takes it up? Could this restriction be removed?

Seems we can only post large challenges if they are password protected now, why on earth is that? Can we get that restriction removed? I like throwing out large challenges without knowing who will pick them up, makes for a wider range of opponents. Cab this restriction be removed please?
