Looks like about 14 entries at the moment, though I am ringing around trying to drum up more players. I would be elated if we got 20!

Less than 24hrs to go now.

I have heard that a good number of entries have been made. With the somewhat wet weekend on the cards it will be perfect two days of table top gaming as our indoor activity. Good luck to all and take it easy on my army. :)

The Serbs need no mercy - though they may need to be tried for war crimes at the conclusion of festivities.

Over and out.

The Results

Post by GKChesterton1976 »

15 played at least one round in the end after the usual trickle of last minute drop outs. It was good to see a variety of armies and players from a variety of gaming backgrounds.

I will be running this again next year, stay tuned for details of format.

First prize winner (Paul Collins) received a discount voucher from Essex Miniatures and an Arab type army in 15mm Old Glory from The Tin Soldier

Second prize winner (Mike Morgan) received a $50 voucher from Olympian Games and a discount voucher from Essex Miniatures

Third prize winner (Paul Rattray) received a discount voucher from Essex Miniatures

Umpires Choice prize winner (Leigh Dunn) received a $50 voucher from Olympian Games. Leigh received this for playing his first game of FoG in the first round of the tournament and having travelled furthest to be there (Canberra).

The results are as follows:

1st Paul Collins Medieval German 4, 25, 24, 18, 17, 88

2nd Mike Morgan Palmyran 11, 7, -, 21, 25, 64 (4 rounds played only)

3rd Paul Rattray Later Ottoman (with Serbian allies) 21, 16, 6, 14, 3, 60

Aleksander Misic Later Medieval Serbian 11, 3, 14, 17, 15, 60 (lost 3rd place on countback)

Geoff Crick Spartan (Classical Greek) 19, 13, 14, 2, 5, 53

Stephen Hopkins Italian Condotta (Venice in Italy with Swiss Allies) 9, 18, 9, 6, 8, 50

Leigh Dunn 100YW English Continental 6, 16, 1, 3, 12, 38

Guy Sheppard Gallic 9, 4, -, 7, 15, 35 (4 rounds played only)

Mitchell Ortuondo Later Republican Roman 10, 7, 6, 4, 8, 35

Peter Baldwin Later Anglo Irish 10, 22, -, -, -, 32 (2 rounds played only)

Justin Swain Bosporan 4, 0, 11, 13, 0, 28

Ian Nicoll Syracusan 21, 4, 1, -, - 26 (3 rounds played only)

John Harris Later Seleucid -, -, -, 14, 12, 26, (2 rounds played only)

Adrian Williams Principate Roman -, -, 24, -, -, 24 (1 round played only)

John McQualter Skythian with Greek allies -, -, -, 6, 11, 17 (2 rounds played only)

The first five figures are the score each round and the final figure is their total.

Is there some way I can have these results included for ratings purposes. Please let me know what I have to do to that end. I have more detailed results if required for that purpose.

Thanks to our sponsors, The Tin Soldier, Olympian Games and Essex Miniatures Australia. They were very generous this year.

Thanks to the players and I hope to see you all again.

Well done on organising a great event Adrian. I think the format worked really well and I look forward to next years tournament.

Paul Collins.
