I only have Winter War (so far)
Thought occurred that Finland had some long range patrols (LRP) that caused the enemy headaches deep behind enemy lines.
That would be kind of fun here
The problem is, it is too easy to cut off their supply lines and make them immobile in the game.
Of course you couldn't have too many - perhaps not even more than one.
And they shouldn't be very strong

Here are my thoughts - no idea if it is possible in the game engine:
1) Limit it to one unit - one way would be to tie them to a leader - Torni would be a good one for Finland
2) No movement penalty if out of supply (we're supposed to be surrounded)
3) No reinforcements if out of supply
4) weak unit (say 2 strength points) - but can retreat before combat in anything but open terrain

A Jäger unit with recon traits but proper combat stats would work fine. No supply problems.

Sissi (Finnish light infantry) :
Sissi is a Finnish term for light infantry which conducts reconnaissance, sabotage and guerrilla warfare operations behind enemy lines. The word sissi, first attested in the modern meaning "patrolman, partisan, spy" in 1787, comes to Finnish from Slavic and refers either to a forest bandit or his yew bow.
The Finnish Army Sissi units are trained to conduct long range reconnaissance patrols, gather intelligence from concealed observation posts, raid enemy installations (especially supply depots), conduct road side ambushes and pursue and destroy enemy special forces units.

These Sissi troops were present in the game Panzer General II (Suomussalmi Scenario).

I am familiar with the Sissi, but was thinking more along the lines of the Kaukopartiojoukot.

Päämajan kaukopartiomiehet (ErP 4) are briefly mentioned in that Wikipedia link provided by terminator. A bit info of them in English here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detached_Battalion_4. Note that Lauri Törni actually didn't serve in this unit.
