This is a guide to installing simple PzC mods.
Before you change anything make a backup of Panzer Corp folder [1.8GB]
Note: editible files in the DLC Data folder over rides files in the main Data folder.
The files most often edited are :
gamerules.pzdat - to turn off softcap.
equipment.pzeqp - to add or modify equipment
The easiest mod is Nico's equipment upgrade mod. It includes horse transport, and 5x P38 varients, and other additions. Nico uses existing unit graphics so the mod is stand alone.
To install just download unrar and move.
To add for only GC39
C:/Program Files/Slitherine/Panzer Corps Gold/DLC/GC 39/Data/ -
There is no equipment.pzeqp in the DLC's so there is no overwriting.
The new equip will only to GC39.
To apply to other DLC copy to their Data folder.
Or overwrite
PC path: C:/Program Files/Slitherine/Panzer Corps Gold/Data/equipment.pzeqp
This will apply the mod to all your campaigns.
This mod can be used with the Mac version as well.
The Mac path
Applications/PanzerCorp -> Contents/Resources7Data/DATA
or PanzerCorp -> Contents/Resources7Data/DLC
to get past PanzerCorp -> Click PanzerCorp App hold mouse down and select
Show Package Contents
For the PC,
yes I know it's a Mac but it is the PC directory structure.

There comes a time on every project when it is time to shoot the engineer and ship the damn thing.
Re: How to install Mods for Dummies
The second type is stand alone User campaigns.
Some require GME, some don't.
These do not work for the Mac, because the Mac does not recognize the Mods folder.
We shall ignore GME because it is not simple.
A good example is Nico's MPC '35 - '39 ; downloadable at:
http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... &hilit=MPC
One just downloads the file, unrars the folder and place in into the your Mod folder.
C:\Users\...your user name...\Documents\My Games\Panzer Corps\Mods
If you don't have a Mods folder you can create one.
Stand Alone User Campaigns
I have played MPC '35 - '39 campaign. I have started the others to see that they 'work'.
IJA v1_0 Redux Campaign requires combining two different downloads.
I tested them on my clean PzC install.
Notice new unit and graphics, not requiring modification of main install.
