i suggest all of you to keep ideas "inside the unity engine" (so i think we have to avoid asking a map editor):
Mine, for now, are:
1. To allow a "skirmish" trigger on main menu for single player and multiplayer
2. Skirmish sub menu might let player decide which map use for the skirmish battle (from the maps in the campaign)
3. After selecting the map the player might select number of infantry, artillery and cavalry units maybe using slides ; this for each side
4. Player will select which side to play and which side the AI will play (or maybe the other player)
5. Player will decide the 200,300,400 points difference (maybe a 100 might be used ... see below)
5. Engine will build the battle WITHOUT victory point locations and units will be randomly deployed on map edges (west-east; north-south)
This, in my opinion, won't overstress too much the unity engine and will allow players to have an interesting battle in 5 minutes
