first question:
Equipement
what is the assumed difference between protected, armoured, some armour (others are not an issue for me)
what i mean is in real life how does it look
for example in base game , makedonian phalangites are Protected, but their models all have some kind of linothorax , which was fairly heavy in weight
on other hand, gaulish warbands have 'protected' status but they have 0 visible armor
Hoplites, similarily to pikemen, have protected status while for example those persian speamern also have protected status but they have 0 visible armor
what is the difference there? also the difference between roman armored hastati/principes and pikes
2nd question:
would it be feasible to have free camera during replays , its kinda restricting to have camera auto track current melee fights. ofc , what i mean is to have option, not to force everyone to use free camera during replays
3rd question:
would it be possible to give us more options regarding animations
when replays are in process , animations seem clunky and it kinda lowers the immersion
also regular animations are maybe a bit too fast, like when an unit charges, would be good to see 5 seconds long animation. it doesnt need to be 10 times more animated, just slower, but fluid

Re: couple questions regarding game
For 1st question, my understanding is that protected means something like leather armour or shield or something like that, where it actually states armour it means some form of metallic armour whether that be a metal breastplate, chain or scale or whatever.
Can't help you with the other questions.

That was my understanding too. In relation to the unit models, I seem to recall seeing somewhere that the unit stats are ultimately relative to the period they existed in, e.g. a unit type which is "armoured" in one era might be "protected" in another reflecting that it's armour quality is no longer as high when compared with other troops (even though its actual equipment is exactly the same). As the game moves into later periods, I'd therefore expect the meaning of those terms to change somewhat, at least in terms of what they represent from history.SpeedyCM wrote:For 1st question, my understanding is that protected means something like leather armour or shield or something like that, where it actually states armour it means some form of metallic armour whether that be a metal breastplate, chain or scale or whatever.

It’s all abstract. Protected can be a unit with a big shield but no armour (Persians, warbands), a unit with leather armour, a unit with only a few parts of the body covered in steel. Etc.
