Don't get me wrong - they are genuinely available for sale, its just that they are shipped, supplied and sold via cafepress (this link explains the business model, which is quite interesting in itself) and will cost you only the bargain price of about $20 including shipping to the UK (or roughly $1.50 cheaper to the US).

But you may get hit for inport duty on some stuff - I did with some t-shirts ordered from Cafepress.
I suspect that for one or two items you would be fine but if you order more then the VAT vampires will strike. It isn't the VAT that is the problem, it's the £8.00 charge you get hit with for the priviledge of being allowed to pay the VAT :(

That sounds a lot like our Canada Customs here in Canada. I used to order a lot of 1 package GHQ miniatures that I could not buy cheaper locally even with the shipping charges. But then Customs Canada comes in and charges me the Goods and Services Tax on my purchase, which I was ok with but then they charge me a $5.00 handling fee in order to charge me 70 cents. It basically stopped me from buying online anything but in quantity.

Isn't VAT the Value Added Tax?
