I've been tinkering with a new scenario, and though the idea is sound, it's just been painful to get it to play out in a way that was "fun" rather than a one dimensional replay.
Anyway, I had another look at what it was that I actually wanted to achieve in the latter parts of the missions and worked backwards and eventually ended up taking out about a 1/3 of the "front". And you know what, I promptly sat there and played the mission for 22 turns and it was just enjoyable and interesting. It was a great "moment"
