Figures from other scenarios

What would happen if someone designed an Epic Battle for the Rise of Rome era, but used one or more figures from Immortal Fire? What would players who only owned Rise of Rome see if they downloaded it (could they even?) Those famous blue blobs, or nothing, or it just wouldn't work, period?

Some figures are quite suitable for both.

Some figures are quite suitable for both.
It would just work normally. (Assuming that the player is using the current latest version of the game).
