Allied Corps - Italian Offensive

I'm playing my first campaign with Allied Corps and I can't understand why I keep losing the scenario, "Italian Offensive". As the British, I'm supposed to be gradually withdrawing my units to the right side of the map. I keep getting orders like "hold objectives for two turns" which I accomplish. But inevitably the scenario ends with a loss! Apparently I'm misunderstanding what the AI wants me to do. Any advice?

I believe you have to occupy them all simultaneously for two turns, not just control them.

I think I get it now. I thought the white flags on certain squares identified the objectives, but I see on the strategic map there are green circles which are apparently the actual objectives I need to hold. So it looks like I have to make sure my units are in the green circles for the number of turns the AI indicates.

Yeah, not all the white flags, just the ones that are major objectives at the time.

There is a mismatch in the scenario between the briefing and the scripts.

Script says:
number of Allied FLAGS in zone N is greater than . . .
Could say:
number of Allied UNITS in zone N is greater than . . .

Flag capture requires Infantry, Tank, Recon, or AT
No Arty, plane,
or capital ship.

It's no use. I've tried everything I can think of and I just can't satisfy the AI and win the Italian Offensive. Does anyone know how to do this?
