There is a significant error in scoring.
I currently have been awarded 771 points total. After reviewing the round scores, Round 2 against FraGG was scored incorrectly in my favour. The database has me winning 79-28 for me which is incorrect. The game reached the turn limit with me leading 28-47 (losses sustained). According to tournament rules the game should be scored 47-28 for me. The correct total for my tournament should be 739. The difference of 32 points is causing me to place 5 positions higher than I should be and will have a very high chance at affecting podium placement with me likely knocking at least one person off a podium spot.
Please correct.

Re: Error in tournament scoring
This is a known bug (there is another thread about it somewhere), and will be fixed in the patch that is due to be released after the end of this tournament.MikeC_81 wrote:There is a significant error in scoring.

It isn't really feasible to correct all affected scores in the current tournament, because there may be several of them, as all games ending at the turn limit will have been affected in the same way, and it affects not only the scores but the draws for the subsequent rounds. So not only would you (and others) have different scores, but would have been drawn against different players for subsequent rounds. Because your score was higher, you will have been drawn against a higher placed player, and hence (at least in theory) had a tougher round than you should have done. It would not be completely fair on you to reduce your score to what it should have been, when you should have had an "easier" draw if you had had that score.
It would also be difficult for us to identify which games should be re-scored - I am sure yours is not the only one, but we don't have the necessary information on the server to identify them.
As has been mentioned before, the tournament system is quite new, and we are fixing any issues as they arise, but cannot really do so retrospectively. We have deliberately held back the patch, so that all affected games in the current round would be scored the same way. It obviously would be even more unfair if some were and some weren't.
I agree that this is a problem. I will discuss it with the management on Monday and see if we can find an equitable solution.and will have a very high chance at affecting podium placement with me likely knocking at least one person off a podium spot.
Effectively this tournament has been played under rules that differed from the advertised rules in awarding a turn-limited advantage in rout % as a win.

Re: Error in tournament scoring
Ok thanks, as long as Shawkhan and Klay can eake out their wins in time, it won't be an issue as both of them should have enough points to finish in the top 3. I didn't want to rob someone of a podium spot.
