The game will only display 5 commanders in full view.
You can only assign a commander in full view.
If you have more than 5 commanders and the top 5 are wounded, you are unable to assign the rest of the commanders.
Solution: Whenever you click on an assignable commander in the mini-view list, that commander should be pre-selected in the full view list.

Criminally good commanders
Imprisoned commanders is a nice twist.
But out of the game for 19 (!) turns seems excessive, at least in a single scenario game.

Re: Too many commanders
Imprisonment looks indeed pretty although a terrible loss over more or less the whole scenario. How does such event happen? Was the unit completely destroyed? It sounds like a critical failure on the wounded-roll. I haven't managed to get such event while playing or testing so far.

Re: Too many commanders
But I did. Twice already. Always unavailable for about such a high number of turns. I don't recall exactly, but I think the unit was cut-off from supply and then destroyed.Horst wrote:Imprisonment looks indeed pretty although a terrible loss over more or less the whole scenario. Re: Too many commanders
I’m quite late to the game so I just stumbled into this «to many commanders» issue that is mentioned in this post.
As It is I’m trying to play a custom campaign with seven assignable commanders at the start of the first turn. When I click the mini-view of the commanders and then click on the last commander on the list he doesn’t show up on the full-view list. What to do?

Re: Too many commanders
Sounds like a bugette.
The mini-list is not suitable for doing assignments though. You need to display the list in full size for that.

Re: Too many commanders
I know but the way to assign commanders if the list consists of more than five is kind of awkward and cumbersome. If this issue also happens in the official campaigns I hope it can be fixed in a patch.
