Re: Second Italian Wars Campaign Starting
Michael,
thanks for the answers, it all seems logical and more than acceptable to me.
What date are you signing players up (I have the 14th in my head for some reason, but I can't find where I got that from)? When we sign up do we give you the states we would like in order of preference?
Another thing I couldn't find anywhere, but I'm presuming you cannot have more than one unit in the same province at the same time, except for an army being transported by a fleet, or a garrison in a fortified city as well as an army in the same province.
Can we recruit a new army in a city if there is already an army in the same province (provided one of them moves out at the first possible opportunity?

Unless you are short players, I may actually bow out of this one; I've committed to 4 sections of fog2dl, and i may be stretching myself a bit.

Re: Second Italian Wars Campaign Starting
I'll create a signup topic in the Tournaments & Leagues section at noon on Sunday Jan 14th. I'm working on adding scenarios to the rules so that should we not have 10 players then we can consider playing another portion of the Italian Wars suited to the number of players.awesum4 wrote:Michael,

Only one unit may occupy a province, fortified city or sea at a time. When more than one unit tries to occupy a province or sea at the same time then there is a battle to determine which one is successful. Other units can support the effort to enter a province/sea without moving themselves. Fleets transporting an army is an instantaneous thing. The fleet has orders to transport an army, and the army has advance orders to move to a province that is not adjacent to its current province, but is located on the sea that the fleet occupies. The army does not remain on the fleet.
Expense orders come before movement orders, so you cannot raise a new unit in an area already containing a friendly unit as it will not have moved out.

I've updated the rules with a few changes in grammar and the addition of seven scenarios, with differing numbers of major powers. The original rules were based on scenario: B. THE STRUGGLE FOR DOMINANCE: 1499. Click on the link in the first post on page one to get the latest version (10 Jan 2018).

Hi Snuggles. No problem. I think that a lot of us are feeling a bit stretched with such great games like P&S and FoG2. I passed on FoG2dl for that reason.SnuggleBunnies wrote:Unless you are short players, I may actually bow out of this one; I've committed to 4 sections of fog2dl, and i may be stretching myself a bit.
This campaign is more complicated than most, and may well involve fighting more than one battle simultaneously in a turn because you are pushing more than one army around on the campaign map.

Lets stick to the original, give us all those possible scenarios and you will end up with people choosing 4 different options. I think you will get 10 players no problem, but if there are 9 then I would combine Sienna and Genoa rather than have Sienna become neutral.

Hi William,
I don't think there will be a problem getting 10 players, I believe you have 8 so far;
1/ Aweum4 (me)
2/TGM
3/YoungR
4/Lascar
5/Ahuyton
6/Kiwiwarlord
7/Pixel,
8/G Dodd
Once you post the start thread I'm sure a couple more will join. I have a couple of others I am playing at the moment, will mention it to them. So I stay stick with the original and go for it....I want Naples or Venice....I like boats and hate Turks...

Re: Second Italian Wars Campaign Starting
Kingi [NZ] said he would glad to join if we are short. He was a reliable player in the ECW Campaign 2017. Let me know if we need him and I'll PM him. I would imagine Cedric [LFDM] would also be keen if he was aware of the opportunity
