Skirmishers charging light foot that fail to fully evade

If a BG of skirmishers charges a BG of light foot and the light foot do not have enough evade move to clear a BG of non skirmishing troops behind them they can potentially end up with one rank of light foot stuck on the near side of the unit they ran through. As a light foot base is less than 1 MU deep this leaves an interesting question, do the chragers stop 1MU from the front of the non skirmish BG that is beyond the light foot or do they hit the rear of the evaders who got it wrong?

If the chargers and non skirmishers have a longer line do the chargers step forwards into the non skirmishers??

Oops, done that wrong in at least one game. According to the third bullet point on page 60, the charging skirmishers have to stop one inch short of the non-skirmishers unless they are light horse who have passed a CMT.

Page 55, last bullet point allows skirmishers to avoid stepping forward into non skirmishers.
