Spawned core units

Post by Erik2 »

Custom scenario, start date 8-4-40, 1 turn = 1 day.

I have a trigger using Check Date > 8-4-40, so it should trigger on turn 2 = 9-4-40.
(I'm using this trigger since I have not decided wether to go with the current number of turns. Using Check Date means you do not have to edit all those triggers if you later want to change the total number of turns.

This trigger spawns a few core units with no Target hex assigned. I have added command points to the trigger/effect.

I expected these spawned core units to appear in the Force reserve tab on turn-2 ready for deployment. They do not.
Anything wrong with this setup?

Thanks
Erik

How does Mlawa do it, first scenario of Blitzkrieg? You start with a tank in the reserve in that scenario?

Starting with undeployed core units in reserve is easy :D
In my case I want to spawn historical German core units at their historical arrival dates.
These works (of course) if they are assigned target hexes.
But I would like the players to deploy them using whatever applicable deployment hex.

I'd just cheat and spawn them at a point on the map that you're reasonable sure will not be occupied and immediately undeploy them back to the reserve?

Yes, that is the work-around until adherbal has time to answer this.
It may be a bug (or a scenario designer that is in fumbling-modus).
