Follow the Achaemenid Persian Empire in its expansion, the clash between the Greek City-States, the epic deeds of Alexander the Great and the following wars between his generals after his death.
This DLC greatly expands the base game content adding 8 new factions, 10 new units, 30 new Army Lists, 10 new Epic Battles, 4 new historically-based campaigns and 1 what-if campaign!
In addition, the Sandbox Campaigns module has been expanded to include all 108 army lists from Rise of Rome and Immortal Fire.

We decided that as Alexander's major battles already constituted half of the Epic Battles in the expansion, it would be more interesting to do a "what if Alexander had not died" campaign than rehash his progress to India.

I hoped the first DLC wouldn't take long to release after FoG2, and I was right. Now, you've set a precedent here (a good one) - are you already working on the next DLC? Not being pushy of course, just eager. You make 'em, I'll buy 'em.

How come the DLC with all that content only is 2.67 Mb? Or is it maybe the 1.1.5 update which contains all the goodies and the DLC makes sure I can use it properly? It seems that when I had installed the update, and not yet the DLC, I could still go into the main window of the new campaigns. How does it work with the DLC vs the update?

It seems zakblood_slith has traced me down to this thread too. If zakblood_slith knows that is the correct answer, I trust him on it. But if there is something more to say about it I'm all ears for an explanation to how those technicalities work.

Most of the new assets are in the patch to allow players to play with those who own the DLC. So the DLC-specific files are smaller.

Just for yuks, I made an integrated Army List using the basic game list as show in a forum post (http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 77&t=78924) and the Immortal Fire list from the Slitherine Immortal Fire web page. Oddly, it counts out at 108 armies. I might have duplicates if they were there in the originals. And yes, the armies with multiple entries did sort with the newest first, but that's what Excel did and I'm too lazy to go back and edit the list

108 is correct. Three more were added to the Rise of Rome ones (IIRC).

At least two Etruscan armies were added. Or to be correct, Etruscan armies for two different periods of that era. I'm interested in the Etruscans so whenever there are Etruscan armies in a game I'm very happy to play them. I don't know which the third army is.

It would've been nice if there could be a Hittite army and armies of the so called Sea Peoples as well one day. But that is probably a time period too far away for this game. And I think the amount of different armies in the game maybe is enough.

At that date, probably yes.
