Faster than the speed of love

Post by Stimovsky »

In one of my recent games, I saw a javelin foot unit running after a scythed chariot. It was not a rout & pursuit but regular movements.
For 3 or 4 turns, my chariot would race across the battlefield, trying to distance them but every time they came in contact again and even had time to shoot at it.

As you may be doing right now, I imagined the scene like in one of those old Ben-Hur style movies: the chariot driver frenetically whipping panting horses, looking over his shoulder, pretty confident he escaped but soon, with utter terror on his face he realized that through clouds of dust, hop hop hop came the long striding javelin men.
My question is : at some point of this scene, did you also heard Benny Hill's theme ?
