FoG II and Mare Nostrum Campaigns

Post by pyrrhos »

FoG II and Mare Nostrum are two excellent games by Slitherine/Matrix. FoG II is ancient land battles, as you know, and Mare Nostrum is ancient sea battles in the Mediterranean Sea. With the next patch of Mare Nostrum you will be able to pick the ships that the AI uses in Skirmish mode and pick warships and transports. With this option you can do a campaign of invasions and reinforcing armies using the two games. You can use skirmish mode in the two games for the campaigns for battles. Many of you here have Mare Nostrum as I can tell by your logins. I think you will appreciate the possibilities... :)

How are you finding Mare Nostrum? I've been tempted by the look of it, but haven't taken the plunge yet (if you'll forgive the pun)...

Lol... I've played it to the point that I know I like it very much but am waiting for the new patch to do a Roman - Carthaginian Campaign. A very simple one at first. I plan to divide the points of an invading Roman army in FoG II skirmish mode and put so many on each of the transports and then those that get through the Carthaginian blockade will fight the Carthaginians at their full strength. Very simple yet fun. I really enjoy both games to answer your question.
