Sometimes unit facing direction is unclear

There are certain times when it's not clear which direction a unit is facing. I think maybe it occurs when a chaser is pursuing and makes a turn in doing so.

This screenshot is an example. The Hastati in the middle is at an angle between facing "East" and facing "South-East" (compare with the unit in the bottom-left of the screen that is facing "South-East").



Another example. I can't remember what the circumstances were.

True, it is usually when pursuing. Next turn they will change to face whichever direction is nearest to their current facing.
