Any chance to see more helmet variation

Any chance to see more helmet variation

It would be nice to see a bit less uniformity in the types of headgear worn by troops, particularly the hellenistic factions.

It would be lovely but when the game was developed the engine only allowed one model per unit and no asset swapping. It actually requires quite a significant change to the code and asset pipeline, will increase system overheads for those with lower powered computers, and increase the time and cost of asset production. So it really is not high priority though it IS being looked into for the future. (I'm talking distant future, if ever)

Yeah. It’s required for mixed units. Now the single Sparabara soldier carries a spear, axe, pavise, and bow. When mixed models are available we can do proper mixed units and lead the way for Pike & Shot 2. Hehe.

Anybody else laughing at the title of this thread for all the wrong reasons? Schoolboy humour never really leaves you, does it?
