Problem with Blitzkrieg 39 - 40 Mod

Post by michacey »

When I completed the Denmark scenario, it did not allow me to go on to the next. (Narvik, Trondheim, Bergen.) Instead it just showed a map of the world. Any suggestions on how to get to the next scenario. Really enjoying this well done mod.

The mod is in my Campaigns Folder, but when I go to the game main menu, it is not an option when I click on Custom Content. Two previous mods are there. I deleted the mod from my Campaigns Folder and then put it in again. Still not under Custom Content. Finally, I downloaded the mod Blitzkrieg 41-42 and placed that in my Campaigns Folder. But it is also absent from the Custom Content. Any suggestions?

Note that there is a significant difference between a Mod and a custom Campaign.
A Mod would alter game characteristics like unit values.

All custom campaigns should be placed in the My Games etc folder, like this:

Thanks for your reply. That is the folder I placed them in. Under My Games - OOB WWII -Campaigns folder. In this folder I have:
Blitzkrieg39-40
Blitzkrieg41-42E
Kokoda Trail 1942
Sealion
When I open the game and click on Custom Content, only Kokoda Trail and Sealion appear. This problem started when I ended the Denmark scenario in Blitzkrieg39-40. Instead of going to the next scenario it showed a large hand-drawn map of the world. I next down-loaded Blitzkrieg41-42E to see if that would work. While it showed in my Campaigns folder, it did not appear in the Custom Content of the game.
This problem occurred just after the new Panzerkrieg DLC became available. I have not purchased it yet but certainly intend to. Could there be a connection?
Thanks for your help.
(Your games are great, by the way)

The problem has solved itself? I purchased the new DLC, opened the game and the 2 missing campaigns were still not available in the Custom Content. Began a new game with the Panzerkrieg DLC. The next time I went to the main menu, the missing campaigns were available. Went to my last turn in the Denmark scenario, finished it, and it went on to the next scenario. Anyway, thanks for the help. Plenty of OOB playing ahead, with the Erik's campaigns and the new DLC.

Glad things sorted itself out. There will be updates to both of my Blitzkrieg campaigns soon.
I'm waiting until the dust settles with the 64bit issues.

I am having the same problem as the OP. I have downloaded Blitzkrieg39 and 41 campaigns, but they don't show under custom content.
I see the other 4 campaigns (kokoka, new britain, phillipines and sealion) without any problem.
The only difference i see is that the blitzkrieg folders are missing the campaign.cmz files which the other campaigns seem to have.

I have tried deleting, redownloading and reinstalling the blitzkrieg campaigns a few times now, but the game wont recognize or find them at all.

any help would be great!

Thanks

Aha, maybe the custom campaigns needs the new campaign.cmz file which is generated when you save the campaign in the editor.
That would explaing why the game won't display these custom campaigns.
