Disappeared unit during PBEM

Playing multiplayer. I opened my turn this morning to look at the situation but didn't have time to play the turn. So I watched the replay and noticed a light cavalry unit which had pursued off map had returned. So I logged out. Then tonight, I did my turn and noticed the light cavalry unit was gone. I was counting on that unit. Any idea what happened?

the developer will reply when next online, as he may have access to the save in question, or more of any answer than i can give, where as i don't i'm sorry to say.

It is hard to say or test. Very rare anomalies like this have been thought to occur in the past, but we have been unable to confirm them. In future I recommend saving the turn without ending it, rather than logging out. If you repeatedly do the latter, you will eventually trigger the server's anti-cheating code - which detects discrepancies between downloads and uploads..
