How to assign generals?

How to assign generals?

Well reading a few threads here I suddenly realised you could reassign generals during the deployment phase. Has anyone got some tips on the ‘best’ way to do this?

Actually you assign troops to a generals’ command. Then move the general to other units under his command.

Sorry, I should have made that clearer. How do I assign generals to maximise the use of them.
