Constant Crashing Bug

I bought Afghanistan 11 on my iPad yesterday, and so far I am enjoying it. I had already purchased Vietnam 65 on my iPad and enjoy it immensely, in addition to other Slitherine games like Battle Academy, Battle Academy 2, Pike and Shot and Commander the Great War, so I had been eagerly awaiting Afghanistan 11 to come out for the iPad.

That being said, there is one serious flaw---the game keeps running into a crashing bug. Either it crashes outright or simply displays a message that says "the game has run into an unexpected problem and needs to restart". It references a "null reference exception and says that a null value was found where a object instance was required." This bug has popped up both in the campaign and skirmish modes. As it only seems to appear when I feel like I am getting the hang of things, losing my place and having to restart is quite discouraging.

Yes, it does say 1.1.7. Sorry I didn't see this until today, I haven't had a lot of online time recently.
