I note challenges have been put on the other thread -is that correct or are they intended for this one?

Re: Romanes Eunt Domus! Matches & Results
It would probably be easier if they were kept in one place and that place should most likely be here

After a gruelling slogging match across a mountain stream, the Heroic troops of Samnium were undone by the dastardly Greek foreigners from Syracuse!
keyth/Samnite 44% vs devoncop/Syracusan 16%
Well played devoncop and thanks for the game!

Re: Romanes Eunt Domus! Matches & Results
The valiant Umbrians came on in full battle array but the Gods of War favoured the Samnites. Buttressing their right flank against a river, the veterans were able to turn the Umbrian flank before the regulars on the left could buckle before the Umbrian hoplites.
keyth/Samnites 7% vs. Doyley50/Umbrian 40%
An early bout of very good results on my right pretty much decided this one. Thanks for the game Doyley50!

Re: Romanes Eunt Domus! Matches & Results
The High Command of Syracuse again thanks the Gods after their forces bested those of Appulia on the flat fields of Southern Italy.....Results 57% loss to Appulia..v ..19% loss for Syracuse.
I hard fought battle again resting on the heroic performance of the Syracuse Hoplites.

Ironclad (Italian Hill Tribes) vs AlessandroD (Lucanian)
A great battle in the woods but several lucky rolls give me the edge in the center/left sides of the battle. Thanks

Re: Romanes Eunt Domus! Matches & Results
Aryaman (Apulian) 25% vs ZygfrydDeLowe (Bruttian) 58%

Aryaman chose Stepps as the terrain - to utilize his cavalry advantage would be my guess.
I based my plan on having access to better infantry. I wanted to hold on on the flanks and break the centre with my infantry advantage.
But only the second part of this plan worked, and so I broke through the centre and chased his cowardly warlord down, while my flanks collapsed under Apulian advance.
Overall a fun game and well deserved victory goes to Aryaman.
Thanks for playing.

Re: Romanes Eunt Domus! Matches & Results
Victory for Ironclad/Italian Hill Tribes against Ulysigrunt/Romans; 20% to 59% losses
The Romans opened by swiftly decimating the more numerous but less skilfully handled enemy light troops. The Tribes main force observed this from a steep escarpment that they turned into an impregnable defensive redoubt. The Romans stretched along the base of these cliffs and distracted by a roving Tribal cavalry command proved highly vulnerable to selected and concentrated attacks from the heights where the Tribes were able to use their interior lines across the slopes to deadly advantage. Thanks to Ulysisgrunt for a battle which proved both unusual and entertaining.

Re: Romanes Eunt Domus! Matches & Results
I think Stimovsky have not reported yet but his army soundly defeated my Apulians
Campanians 9-Apulians 48
I was surprised to face an almost infantry army only, Stimovsky had his open flank rested skillfully in rough terrain my cavalry had get around, meanwhile his veteran infantry charged my worthless infantry, routing the entire battleline in a couple of turns.

What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Apologies for the radio silence and lack of turns in my remaining battle - my beloved employers have shipped me off for a few weeks back to back without access to my gaming rig. I’ll be around next weekend for some catching up!
