Multiple Charges per turn: WAD? Also Tournament Question

Post by MikeC_81 »

Quick question, I just finished a tournament game where I sent a Cavalry unit that charged a wavering enemy unit in the flank, broke them, pursued into another unit, broke them as well, and then pursued into a 3rd unit and crippled their morale status as well. Thats 3 charges in one turn wrecking 3 units in the process. Is this intended? That Cav unit did some serious work there. I can't count it since we don't get replays but it seemed to have traveled close to 6-8 squares or so.

Also, is there the ability for future tournaments to have the mirrored games be played on identical maps. In round one, one of the maps were favored against me while in and round two, My opponent had to play a Roman game where there was almost no good amount of open terrain to work with. He was at a serious disadvantage terrain wise.

Yes. Chain charging is possible in the rules. It’s quite a spectacle when it happens.

Quite rewarding when it happens, therefore I keep a cavarly unit in reserve at least, usually the C-in-C.

About even ground, I know that can be unbalancing but I prefer this way becasuse the army list will be different respect the opponent and the deployment a bit less predicable.
To be honest I still don't have played a game with a map heavily against my army.

I played a game with a mostly cavalry army that was all hills and rivers and woods, that was awful. My opponent's army was also mostly cavalry. Realistically, they would never have engaged each other in such circumstances.

Only if preset scenarios are used.
