Hi folks, I'm just playing the regular Blitzkrieg DLC. It's a great game but some odd things are happening. The units I have no control over in the Warsaw scenario decide the best way to attack is to launch a horse drawn artillery and anti-tank gun vanguard into the Polish lines with predictable results, while the infantry unit defending Piatek decides it would be better off defending the town from the adjacent river. Just thought I would post this in case any AI improvements can be made.
During the same turn I am surprised to learn that a number of reinforcements are expected to the north. I had no idea about this until now. Surely as the region commander I should have had some knowledge of their possible involvement at the start of the game? My initial strategy would have differed.
Cheers,
Chris

Just quick notes:
1. You should support your AI allies in the south a bit. Just a few light inf, maybe light AT and a Stuka.
2. You get told about a support army in the briefing, IIRC.

I did support them until the objectives were sucessfully defended. I certainly can't see any mention of reinforcements in the briefing.

Another oddity I have come across a few times in scenarios. If you have a secondary objective such as this - Fighters deal 30 damage to aircraft. What happens if you are in a position to destroy the enemy planes during a ground attack? You have to leave this hangar target alone to be able to achieve the fighter objective. Pretty weird.

Re: Blitzkrieg campaign
I think the objective is tied to the fighter not necessarily being airborne, but I havent tried it fully. Have you?
(Shouldnt be that much of a difference - just knock it out...)

For the Warsaw "Deal 30 Damage to Aircraft" objective, see this discussion on the Steam forums: http://steamcommunity.com/app/312450/di ... 763217671/
Re: Blitzkrieg campaign
I got no points toward the objective after destroying aircraft in hangers with ground troops - didn't try to strafe the hangar.Andy2012 wrote:I think the objective is tied to the fighter not necessarily being airborne, but I havent tried it fully. Have you?

P.S. thanks Death. It seemed a pretty difficult objective so I didn't really try for it.

Re: Blitzkrieg campaign
I think the same is true when trying to destroy ground troops currently embarked on a transport ship: Transport ships do not count as ground troops even if carrying them. I think the reason is because the unit class changes, for example, from Infantry -> Ship and Fighter -> Hangar.HobbesACW wrote:I got no points toward the objective after destroying aircraft in hangers with ground troops - didn't try to strafe the hangar.Andy2012 wrote:I think the objective is tied to the fighter not necessarily being airborne, but I havent tried it fully.
