Byzantine Trapezitoi (LH)

Post by iparker »

I have noticed on looking through the new supplement "Decline and Fall - Byzantium at war" that the Trapezitoi troop type is not mentioned either as Cav or LH in any of ths Byzantine lists. Is there a reason for this or have they just been overlooked?

I am sure there are quite a few people with Byzantine armies who have miniatures for this troop type.

Regards.

Ian.

IIRC Trapezitai was just the name for advanced mounted scouts in front of the army and as such would not have had any special battlefield role.

I mounted mine on the generals bases, as messengers. Didn't loose as many Heavies that way.
