I heard you can use your code on steam to get the steam key thing.
You don't need to buy it on steam to activate it there.
It's always better to buy these games on Matrix/Slitherine so they get more money to help support their companies.

Your Slitherine/Matrix serial number is also a STEAM key. You certainly do not need to buy the game twice.

OK. If I buy FOG2 in Steam, can I download, install and activate setup file from Slitherine or Matrix and play without Steam? Because FOG2 in Steam for my country is cheaper than in Slitherine and Matrix sites (but I don't like binding to steam client).
