Missing lists

Post by Leadman »

I was wondering if there are any plans to provide lists for the Sicilians from the time that Aragon controlled the island, the early Hungarians, and the Early Russians?

Thanks,
Dannie

Any hope for lists of the Italian wars?

And, while the Islamic and Christian forces of the 15th century are largely accounted for, the Knighs of St. John are missing. Admittedly they mostly fought naval actions and sieges, but not exclusively.

PS: I just found the other thread on the Knights of St John, with the "not slated response". Sorry to hear. You still could put them into a book covering the early 16th century, with the Italian wars and the army of Suleiman (Vienna, Malta, and all the Ottoman victories in between).

Thats sad. I thought that only DBA was restricted to 1500, and that FOG covers the time until the "rising dominance of gunpowder weapons". Admittedly the wars from 1494 to 1529 may qualify. In Bicocca and Pavia artillery and handguns certainly played a large part.

On the other side, we do not yet have the "Pike and Shot" tactics of later decades or the 30yw/ECW, and melees where still the decisive factors of most battles. Omitting all these by an artificial cut at 1500 is a loss to FOG, and drive those with Lansknechts armies towards BASIC IMPETUS.

Anyway, accepting your decision, is there any problem when I (or other players) would publish FOG-compatible lists for this post 1500 era?
