PBEM question
PBEM question
i know what pbem is (played combat mission with cmhelper and without it using only dropbox) and i know how the slitherine's pbem system looks like in the menu from the pictures
but
can i after playing a turn ,after every move is made and i click 'end turn' or whatever so that my opponent can recieve the file , can i go back to the same turn and just look at the battlefield, just to see what next move should i make, without moving any troops , just looking at it ?

Re: PBEM question
You won't be able to do that but when the turn is returned to you there is no timer so you can spend as long as you like before moving.
It's actually a very good system imho though I know some prefer the old system of sending via email for some reason

Re: PBEM question
i know theres no timer, but the thing is i intend to play "real time turn based' games, where i and my another opponent practically play for couple hours in a relatively fast fashion, like doing a whole battle with 20 units on each side in 1 day, so being able to check my turn after i sent the file would be very important to me, simply because it saves time and i dont have to watch youtube or wait for him to send me the turn and then use the time to think what to do nextdevoncop wrote:You won't be able to do that but when the turn is returned to you there is no timer so you can spend as long as you like before moving.

Re: PBEM question
Because the turn is sent back instantly a battle is perfectly possible in an hour or two never mind a full day....your only other option would be to take a screenshot each turn but seems a hassle to me !
Re: PBEM question
i see, well even tho i am saddened by the non existance of this feature i can live without it. can suplement it with screenshots sometimes

While there is no timeline, live MP is definitely on our wishlist for hardcore players

In the long run, I gave up playing P&S because of this.
Make it patch or free/paid DLC ?
But please make it !

Re: PBEM question
Have not tried this yet with FoG II, With FoG I a friend of mine & myself were able to play "online" using Team Viewer. Because FoG II has true "hotseat" like FoG I think this should be possible.
Window mode may be required for FoG II.

Re: PBEM question
It could be interesting to try this. Maybe someone could help setting this up ? I've never heard about this.eddieballgame wrote:Have not tried this yet with FoG II, With FoG I a friend of mine & myself were able to play "online" using Team Viewer. Re: PBEM question
I will add, when using Team Viewer to play a turn-based game; the specific game only needs to be on the host's computer. The same as one would play "hotseat" in the same room.
