Where to see current difficulty level?

Where can I see what difficulty level I'm playing? Say, after loading a savegame for which I don't remember what it was at.

On a PC:
Use cheat code endscn 1,
then choose difficulty button.
Your current level will be highlighted.

It tells you if you click the "Messages" button in the side panel - looks like a small speech bubble (Ctrl+M on a PC, I think).

Well it also has the briefing and objectives on - I have to keep checking back when I forget what I'm supposed to be doing
