I would really like to try out some of the mods available. My problem is that I am old and not very computer knowledgeable. If someone could provide me with step-by-step directions, it would be greatly appreciated. I play OOB on Steam.
Thanks...

Re: Downloading and Installing Mods
Try this thread and see if it will tell you how. I don't play with Steam but I understand the two folders, Campaigns and Scenarios, are in there someplace, maybe the same places as the downloaded game*:
C:\Users\[your name]\Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2\Campaigns
C:\Users\[your name]\Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2\Scenarios
The important thing is what I said in that other thread: The entire mod folder goes into one of those game folders depending on whether it is a mod campaign or a mod scenario. Not individual files and not the zipped file. The folder inside the zipped file.
*In Windows; I don't know about Mac.

Re: Downloading and Installing Mods
I've seen users refer to mods when they actually mean scenarios or campaigns.
Mods are different, they contain modifications of unit stats etc.

Very good, Erik, thanks. There's a unique folder for each of the three types of "customizations": scenario, campaign, modErik wrote:I've seen users refer to mods when they actually mean scenarios or campaigns.

Re: Downloading and Installing Mods
That's Erik's mod but I have two quick suggestions:
1) Make sure you are updated to version 9.1.4.
2) Per this thread, dealing with black screen, delete your Settings folder.
