Blitzkrieg No Transport

Post by Asap »

In Smolensk and Moskau, I tried to upgrade my 37mm Pak 36 with a transport LKW, but there was none.

It is certainly because this cannon became obsolete at this moment.
37mm Pak36 :
- available 01/01/36
- expire 06/10/40
It is necessary to change model (it is the law of the consumer society  )

I did not know this nickname for the 37mm Pak36 ("Panzeranklopfgerät" or "tank door knocker").
You taught me something :)

Great, you are welcome! That's Landsersprache or Landserjargon, a Landser is a German soldier. They used many special words like that for everything during WW2. The Russian 76mm M1942 (SiS-3) for instance was called "Ratsch-Bumm", because firing (ratsch) and impact (bumm) followed in quick succession, the MG 42 was called "Hitlersäge" (Hitler-saw) and so on.. :)
