Cohesion Test Questions.

Post by Robert241167 »

Hi everyone

I have 2 cohesion test questions which are puzzling me.

Firstly the cohesion test modifiers say:
Commander in line of command in command range if battle group is not in close combat, or with the battle group if it is in close combat +1
Extra if he is an Inspired Commander +1
I am sure that the group I play with are adding these pluses when in close combat from commanders that are not with the battle group. I read the statement as the battle groups in close combat only getting pluses from a commander with the battle group. Which is correct?

On a similar basis if not in close combat can they get the pluses from a commander fighting elsewhere whether in the front rank or not?

My second question which I think I know the answer to. Commanders fighting in the front rank raise the quality of the battle group by 1 level so for example Average to Superior reroll 1's. Am I correct that if they lose the combat that they cannot reroll 1's in the cohesion test?

Thanks for your help.

To affect a BG in close combat the commander must be with the BG - although he does not have to be fighting in the front rank and if he isn't fighting he can affect other BGs as long as they are not in close combat.

A commander fighting in the front rank can only affect the BG he is with.

A commander fighting in the front rank only affects the combat re-rolls and not CT ones or CMT ones.
