UPDATE: Some more fixes added and hopefully the Waffen SS issue is now solved for real

The fix for the Waffen SS units carry-over bug required rather significant code changes/additions so I feel a bit insecure releasing this update without some more thorough testing. Any help with that would be greatly appreciated:

To apply the patch manually, take the following steps:
- Launch the game
- In the main menu, press Shift + C
- Type (or ctrl-v): #patch patch4.1.7
- Click the confirm button and wait for the download & game restart

This should fix the following bugs:
• Quit India fixed: Ghandi will now always be positioned somewhere on the main peninsula
• Missing French text added for Burma campaign
• Waffen SS unit carry-over in Blitzkrieg campaign fixed
• Missing custom campaigns button fixed
• Yugoslavia scenario (Blitzkrieg) fixed
• Gurkhas have the "guerrilla" trait
• British QF 40mm Bofors costs fixed

If this does not introduce any new bugs this patch will become "official" and anyone who has downloaded it manually won't need a further update. If there are further changes required this will be applied automatically in v4.1.7 whether you have installed this patch manually or not.

Adherbal, your caution on the Waffen SS thing is well-founded because it's not fixed yet (4.1.5).

I don't know whether that file that I uploaded before had the right saved game files, so I manually saved two from Greece and Minsk here:

If you restart the Greece (or Minsk) scenario and then purchase Waffen SS units it should work. The new code only runs at scenario start so alas it will not fix any scenarios already in progress.

No, I have been running new Blitzkrieg campaigns each time, nuking through them. This time I even cleaned out my saved games folder, just in case. Same results; I will not bore you with the same screenshots again except for this one that will reassure you that I am running 4.1.5:

Here's what may be a clue, however. Notice how, when you bring in the ill-announced Australian commando unit (just kidding ), it joins the U.S. Core in U.S. Pacific?

Same thing for the bonus FlaK gun; it joins the German Core in Blitzkrieg:

However, the Waffen SS Wiking Division joins the Waffen SS . . . Core? Can there be two sets of Human Core units in the game at one time? Maybe during a scenario, but not handled properly in a campaign?

Anyway, the wife is dragging me away for shopping duties - she can never understand my true love for OOB - so I must depart for a while. Besides, I would like someone else to confirm this problem so that it does not look like it's just me.

Erik or Andy, can you please nuke through Blitzkrieg in 4.1.5 and see if you get the same results? If so, please buy the Waffen SS specialisation in Greece, acquire the Wiking Division, purchase another Waffen SS infantry unit, deploy them, and then advance to Minsk to see if they are still around for you.

I narrowed the issue down to a custom data.cmp file with the header Content (duplicated from the official Burma campaign). Removed the header, and everything works.

But it is a bit strange that I had no issues with this in 4.1.4

Nuked my way to Greece, got the winter-clothed Wikings. Deployed them.
The unit was gone in Minsk.
Bought two SS infantry units in Minsk, deployed them.
These purchased units were availabe for deployment in Smolensk.

Thanks, Erik. Interesting nuance about the Waffen SS persistence from Minsk to Smolensk as opposed to from Greece to Minsk. Maybe it has something to do with the Minsk scenario itself. I noticed that skin camouflage is working in Rising SUN and Morning Sun campaign and MARINES WOW!!!! great at least !!!!! I saw future specializatons "camouflage" so I belive that soon it will be also avialable in Blitzkrieg and another campaigns!!! awesome!!
Ive never played by the Allies rather Axis but I tried the Burma Road and I'm impressed. I played first of 4 scenarios. Good balance and keeps me in suspense. The tanks in the jungle are not fast like in theatre of Europe. Very good work! This game is gonna to be the best ! there is only one thing: PANZER CORPS 2. great work guys!!!!

These were reported in other threads, as you know. I believe adherbal is still working on these and a bunch of other stuff to be released in a public auto-patch, soon.

Updated to 4.1.6, see top post. This also fixes the 20mm Pak AA/AT switch.

Now if you guys could stop finding new bugs I can focus on adding cool new stuff again

I tested and can confirm as just another game player:
* Battle of Britain now starts with no problem (I note the comment in the Community Content crate about BoB requiring version 4.1.6)
* Waffen SS Wiking Division and purchased Waffen SS infantry do NOT disappear between Greece and Minsk now.
* The bonus AA gun now switches to AT upon demand.
* Custom content button has been restored.
* Gurkhas now have the "Guerrilla" trait.
* The British QF 40mm Bofors now costs 40 instead of 100 RP.

The Missing French text, the Yugoslavia scenario, and the island marooning of Gandhi, I will need to defer to others to confirm. I was not familiar with the first two and I never could get Gandhi marooned even though I tested it repeatedly. Obviously other players did get stuck so we will hear from them again if necessary.

I tried the following - I had an old Blitzkrieg save which had all the transition issues with the Waffen SS. I loaded the last turn of Smolensk, won, transitioned to Kiev and my whole core is gone. Wiped out. Nothing there.
Is that normal? Am I doing this wrong? If you want to follow up on this, adherbal, I can post savegames.
