Hi guys,
just a quick one - I finished Operation Longcloth (difficult one), lost the unit with Wingate. Game told me he's in jail, but will break out. Blew three bridges, rail yard, killed the planes, managed retreat, didnt find the headquarters (will replay).
But next mission, on Ledo Road, Wingate is gone. I thought when I kill the planes, he will join my core as a commander? Is this a bug?
I will replay and try to keep him alive.
Any input? Erik, bru, Kerensky?

I believe he only appears in the second or third turn, which may add a bit of confusion in relation to this objective. Or is he not appearing at all?

Ah, that explains it. I havent made it into Ledo Road that far, I thought about replaying Operation Longcloth first. If he doesnt show up, I will post here.adherbal wrote:I believe he only appears in the second or third turn, which may add a bit of confusion in relation to this objective. But after that second time with the Chindis, I have used up all my patience. This is one sluggish mission (will write more in the non-tech forum). Thank God it's over.

Yes, he's programmed to show up on Turn 2 in Ledo Road if the Campaign Variable set in the Operation Longcloth scenario is met: "Destroy 2 grounded aircraft: Rewarded for the excellent performance of his Chindit units, Brigadier Orde Wingate will remain in service as a ground Commander."

@all: Yep, he shows up second mission Ledo Road. I just need to take a break here with OoB for a while. Starting to see hex squares everywhere...
BTW, those construction groups popping up at the worst time and places. I mean, right in front of my troops and surrounded by Japanese. "Sure, we could wait a turn or two. But hell, let's drive our cranes into the crossfire. They dont call it combat engineering for nothing..."

I brought the constr grp issue up a couple of times during beta.Andy2012 wrote:...
