So what's for Xmas?
Burma Road is out almost 4 months to the day since Kriegsmarine - 4 months from now is just before Christmas ...
Re: So what's for Xmas?
My guess is for a Wehrmacht DLC. They put the units into place already.NZgunner wrote:Burma Road is out almost 4 months to the day since Kriegsmarine - 4 months from now is just before Christmas ...

Could be Russia, could be Afrikakorps. However, for Afrikakorps, they would not need all new units, just new skins (sand camo) and tileset for the desert. Let's see.
Re: So what's for Xmas?
I am sure it will be a continuation of the war in the east: Demyansk-Cholm, second Charkov, Sevastopol, Woronezh, Caucasus, maybe Rzhev defense, Stalingrad, Operation Winter Storm, third Charkov, Kursk north, Kursk south, Mius river defence battle, fourth Charkov, maybe Dnepr river defense battle, maybe Zhitomir counterattack or Korsun pocket.
The first argument - Adherbal showed units they were working on, there were German and Soviet tanks and self-propelled guns from 1943.
The second argument - the lack of Italian units which are necessary for the African campaign. (Not counting those few from Yugoslavia and Greece scn from Blitzkrieg DLC)

Re: So what's for Xmas?
They added a partisan unit to the Soviet Union in the editor in the latest update so I am certain we are going back to the eastern front.

I found the Soviet Partisans :
I think that they should use explosives (TNT) to destroy all infrastructure on the hex like the Engineers.

@all: Eastern Front Wehrmacht vs Red Army is likely. But let's wait til the official announcement. Or has anybody done some rooting around in the files like Horst back then did?

Look at the end of the file "commanders.txt", maybe an indication for the next DLC ?

I forget what adherbal jokingly called you guys. Spies? Moles? Wikileakers? But I took a peek myself!terminator wrote:Look at the end of the file "commanders.txt", maybe an indication for the next DLC ?
Hmmm. That does not necessarily mean anything. For one thing, there is only one new commander in Graphics/Commanders and that guy doesn't look like he's got any sand in his boots. No, what you are seeing at the end of the commanders.txt file is probably a placeholder, for future use.
Of course, I'm only saying all this to keep myself from getting my hopes up . . .

Checking some other text files, there are also lots of mentioned of troops, units, and resistance forces in Britain. Could we be getting a hypothetical Sea Lion campaign, but from a British perspective? That would be an interesting, novel choice.
